June Activities in the Library

Looking for fun activities to do this summer? We have lots of opportunities for the young and young at heart. Stop by the library for a fun activity or spend an afternoon with a good book and cup of coffee. We look forward to seeing you at the library this summer!

Lego Club, Friday, June 13, 3:00-4:00 Kids of all ages, come build Lego challenges, have snacks, and get creative with other enthusiasts.

Volunteer Orientation, Wednesday, June 18, 3:15-4:15 Interested in volunteering at the library? Come find out what it is all about at our first Volunteer Orientation.

DIY Sea Glass Wind Chimes, Friday, June 20, 1:00- 2:00 Teens and adults, create a sea glass wind chime using a piece of beach wood and sea glass beads. Free event, supplies provided. (Pre-registration required; please call the library at 360-466-3352.)

Drive-in Movie Night, Tuesday, June 24, 4:00-6:00 Join our Kids’ Summer Reading kick-off event! Watch a movie on the big screen, eat popcorn, and decorate your box/car. Parent/guardian supervision required.

Tech Help, Mondays, 3:00-5:00 Schedule your one-on-one 30-minute slot for help with technical issues. Call 360-466-3352 to sign up.

Story Time, Fridays, 11:00-11:30 Bring your little ones to the library for stories and crafts. All ages welcome.

Summer Reading 2025

It’s that time of year again! Summer reading is here, and we are excited to invite you to stop by the library to sign up and pick up your reading log. Participants will receive a free t-shirt at sign-up (while supplies last), a free book in July, and the chance to earn fun prizes all summer long.

We’ll also have special performances by Harmonica Pocket on July 18, 2:30-3:30; the Pegasus Puppet Theatre on August 6, 10:30-11:30; and Magician Brian Ledbetter on August 28, 1:00-2:00. We also have arts and crafts activities and reading challenges throughout the summer.

Summer reading is great way to keep kids engaged with books, encourage regular library visits, and help prevent learning loss during the break. Don’t miss out, stop by the library and sign up today!

📚 Volunteer Opportunities 📚

Volunteer at the Library

Are you interested in volunteering at the library? Do you have a special talent you want to share with others?  Do you like to garden, shelve books, or just spend time in the library? We are looking for volunteers to help us with a variety of tasks from grounds care to shelving books and assisting with program prep. We have opportunities for people of all skills and abilities. Ages 16 and up are welcome. (Children younger than 16 are welcome with adult supervision.)

We are excited to host our first volunteer orientation on Wednesday, June 18, 3:15-4:15. Volunteering is a great way to get to know others in the community and to spend time in our awesome library.

👸🏽Friday Story Time🐲

Bring your kids to the library every Friday at 11 AM. We’ll dive into a variety of exciting stories, followed by activities and creative crafts that bring the tales to life. It’s the perfect way to spark imagination, learn new things, promote early literacy, and make new friends. We look forward to seeing you there!
