Lego Club, Friday, February 13, 3:00 - 4:00 pm. Kids ages 6+, come build Lego challenges, have snacks, and get creative with other enthusiasts.

Community Action Agency Resource Table, Wednesday, February 18, 12:00 - 4:00 pm. Drop by the library to learn about the services provided by the valuable community resource.

Free Computer Class, Thursday, February 19, 5:00 -7:00 pm. Come learn basic computing skills.

Blind Date with a Book, February 1 - 28. Explore our Blind Date with a Book! Choose a wrapped book from our blind date with a book display, read it, and let us know how your “date” went. Will you play matchmaker or save someone from a bad date? Stop by the library to participate.

Tech Help Mondays, 3:00 - 5:00 pm. Call 360-466-3352 or stop by the library to schedule your one-on-one 30-minute slot for help with technical issues with your devices.

NEW STORY TIME: Wednesdays, 2:15 - 2:45 pm. Regular Friday Storytime, 11:00 - 11:30 am. Bring your little ones to the library for stories, songs, and crafts. All ages welcome.

Mending Circle: Tuesday, March 10, 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Come to the library to work on your own sewing, needle art, or mending projects; get help, ideas, and advice from fellow sewists.

Our theme this year is the “Cozy Winter Reading.” Pick up your game sheet at the library. Get a Bingo by completing 5 boxes in a row, horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, to receive a cozy gift! Complete the entire sheet (Blackout) to be entered in a drawing for a Cozy Winter Pampering Bundle featuring: • A 30‑minute massage from The Living Room • A European Facial from Serene Skin Care • A Seaport Books gift card • A gift card to a local coffee shop Happy reading!

📚Cozy Winter Reads for Kids

For my visits with Swinomish preschoolers and La Conner Kindergartners, I chose books with a winter theme and to teach the kids about hibernation.

Books like “Goodnight, Grizzle Grump,” “Pablo in the Snow,” and “Time To Sleep” were all good books for teaching about hibernation.

Cozy, Winter themed books like “Snow Scene,” “The Snowy Day,” “Big Snow,” “Snowmen At Night,” and “The Littlest Yak” all made for wonderful and cozy reads that are sure to capture your children’s hearts as well as their attention on a cold, wintry day. —Richard Vendiola, Tribal Liaison

Bring your project, share skills stitch together.

Our mending circle is a drop in space to: Work on your own sewing, needle art, or mending projects. Get help, ideas, and advice from fellow sewists. Chat, share skills, and enjoy creative company.

Join us at the La Conner Swinomish Library the second Tuesday of each month from 4:00-6:00pm. This is a free community group, no library card is required.
